Taobao Haul #7: Leomistu, Elegant Cat, Heng Ji Shop, Haruhi Clover, and Fluffy Lolita

Winter International Lolita Day is coming soon and I need some stuff! I placed another Taobao group order with my friends in preparation for all the events I have coming up this holiday season. In addition to hosting the Statewide ILD for the Texas comms, I'm attending a frilly friend's wedding in December, and then in January, we'll be having our comm's annual New Year's meet! Since my calendar is already jam-packed, I felt like it was best to place an order sooner rather than later. As per usual, I bought everything through SpreeNow. It's just been so easy to order through them and their shipping feels a lot more reasonable than other places. Check out my affiliate link here.

Leomistu

Stock Photo, I do not own!
I've ordered from Leomistu before, so I wasn't worried at all about their quality. I'll admit that I'm not much of a headbow person, but I thought this bow would look really good as an accent color to some of my dresses. I'm a little disappointed that the headbow came on a headband, instead of a clip like I thought, but it's still really cute!

It's pulling a little pink, but I promise it's red!
Hopefully, it looks redder in other pictures, because for some reason my camera is turning it hot pink, X_X Anyway, I love Leomistu and this bow is pretty well made. I've reviewed them before so all I can say is that even if the bow isn't a true red, it's made pretty well.

You can check out Leomistu's storefront with this link.

Elegant Cat

I've reviewed Elegant Cat before too! I actually love this shop, though I wish they had more of a selection. They make super cute accessories, especially for Sweet Lolitas. Feel free to check them out here.

My wristcuffs!
I'll let y'all in on a little secret: I'm actually not a fan of wrist cuffs. It has nothing to do with this pair in particular, and everything to do with wrist cuffs in general. I think they look great, but not on me. I bought this pair because lately, I've felt like my coords are missing something. I'm hoping that with these adorable cuffs my opinion will change, but we'll see. I will say that I love the lace detail on these! It's so pretttyyyyy~! I was, however, a little disappointed at the shade of navy used for these cuffs. They're really dark, even in person. We'll see if I can deal with that, lol.

Heng Ji Shop

Stock photo, I do not own!
In my last Taobao haul review (read that here), I ordered a wig from this very shop, but apparently, I translated the name incorrectly. According to the images from the shop, this particular wig shop is named HengJi Shop, not HumHang Shop. Anyways, I have feelings about their wigs. Bare with me, y'all.

My new wig!
For starters, I LOVE this wig. I'm so pleased with the color and pleasantly surprised by it. In person, the wig is much more of a flax and gray mix, but in pictures, it looks gray. The flax+gray mix is extremely flattering on my skin tone (if I do say so myself), as opposed to the last gray wig I ordered, which was pulling green on me. The wig is soft and lightweight, and oh so comfortable on my head. I especially like the fact that the bangs are on a separate weft, as opposed to part of the main wig.

But that's where the pros end. This wig sheds like nobodies business, y'all. As soon as I took it out of the bag and ran my fingers through it, a handful of loose fibers came along for the ride. I'm not concerned that the wig will shed itself bald, but it's definitely a concern for the future.

Another issue I have with this wig (and possibly this shop) is that the wig isn't styled like the picture. I can tell that it actually is the wig in the image, but because the styling is different, I actually I had to double check my order with Spreenow to make sure this was the wig I ordered. This is the second time I've been bamboozled by this shop because the last wig I ordered from them was also not styled.

It's a minor issue because they're definitely sending me the right wigs, but I specifically bought this one for the spiral curled ends. I could probably style it myself, but I didn't see anything in the listing that said I needed to. It would be nice to either: get wigs in the style that's pictured or pay extra for a styled wig. Perhaps this is a translation issue, but it doesn't change the fact that this is the second wig I've ordered from HengJi Shop that came to me unstyled.

So now I have a dilemma -- I'd be lying if I said I disliked this wig. I absolutely love it; it's beautiful and it's the first gray wig I've found that actually looks gray and doesn't make me look casket ready. But is it worth getting an unstyled wig that sheds a lot? Price wise, the wig was only $11, and with that in mind, I can't complain too much.

That being said, I'm honestly not sure if I would order from HengJi Shop again. Their wigs are beautiful and they have a good selection, but given my experience with other Taobao wig shops, I'd rather go with the ones I know that will give me good, consistent quality.

I give this wig and HengJi/"Humhang Shop" a 5 out of 8, with the note that I probably won't order from them again. But that doesn't mean you can't! Check out HengJi Shop's large wig selection with this link.

Haruhi Clover

Stock photo, I do not own!
I've ordered from Haruhi Clover before and all their accessories are so cute! I bought two strawberry clips to wear with a Taobao dress that I pre-ordered. Unfortunately, the dress has been delayed so I bought these prematurely, X_X

Anyway, they're super cute! I love that I can clip them on to just about anything!

My strawberries! <3

Fluffy Lolita

Gather round, dear readers, and I'll tell you a Lolita horror story of epic proportions.

During my comm's most recent Lolita Book Club meetup, I was chatting with a friend while attempting to put my gloves back on, when suddenly-! My finger nail stabbed a hole right through the ring finger of my black lace gloves! THE HORROR!

Let us pray to the Almighty Mana-sama for my pitiful, poor gloves.

Thus, my biggest priority for this Taobao order was actually to replace my gloves. Since I have absolutely no intention whatsoever of cutting my nails down, I thought long and hard about a solution to what I knew would be a repeat problem. Now, earlier I mentioned that I'm also not a fan of wrist cuffs, so I wanted to avoid getting regular wrist cuffs if I could. As I poured through my repertoire of Taobao accessory shops, these beautiful babies appeared, like a gift from the Taobao gods.

This was my first time ordering from "Fluffy Lolita hand made" (Google translate strikes again), but I had seen some of their accessories while hunting through other shops. These gloves? Wristcuffs? Half-gloves? Fingerless gloves (haha) keep me from stabbing holes through things since they're completely open at the ends, with the exception of a tiny elastic ring that fits around my middle finger. They cost me a whopping $3. I wish the white pair had actual white bows and not ivory ones, >_< I would have bought both pairs if they had.

My new fingerless gloves
Y'all! These are cute! They're classy! I loveeee them! I want more gloves like this because they're like wristcuff-glove hybrids and I can *also* show off my beautiful nails! It's a win-win for me! Now I just need a shop on Taobao to make these in every color imaginable, pleaseandthankyou.

I love my new gloves and I'm really pleased with the quality of the item for the price I paid! I'm giving Fluffy Lolita a 7 out of 8. Take a look at all their accessories with this link.

In addition to my full order, I got some free accessories! I love placing large orders because the shops usually toss a few freebies in there. These are pretty good, so don't be surprised if you see them in some of my future coords. I have no idea where they came from, sadly, T_T

Random accessories
I have a few things coming in the mail, so more reviews are on the way! I bought a petticoat and pre-ordered two dresses, so once those make it to my mailbox, I'll be back to share my feedback on each item.

How's your holiday season looking? Do you have lots of plans or none at all? Let me know in the comment box below! Thanks for reading, my lovely readers. Until next time!

Stay beautiful, stay true,

~J
