Lolita Blog Carnival: Share Your Most Versatile Dress, Head Dress, & Accessory
I followed a Lolita Blog Carnival prompt in a while, so I thought it'd be fun to participate in last week's LBC post.
At first glance, my most versatile dress might not seem so flexible, but I have yet to try a coord with it that I didn't like. It has a unique color scheme, but because of the tartan print, I can coord it with every single color in my closet, and then some!
I put together this coord to showcase each of my "most versatile" pieces: my Fanplusfriend JSK, my black beret, and my white wristcuffs. With just these three items, I can put together a plethora of looks!
Berets are also easy to pack in a suitcase (check my packing post here!) so that makes them even more convenient to work with. When in doubt, slap a beret on it, XP
I bought these wristcuffs nearly 2 years ago and they've become such an important part of my Lolita wardrobe that I almost feel weird when I don't wear them. They're just a simple addition to all my coords, and with the removable bows, I can pair them with anything.
It was a little difficult for me to choose my most versatile dress because I recently made it my personal goal to only buy items that go with *at least* 3 other pieces in my closet. As a result, most of my Lolita wardrobe is pretty flexible, and the few exceptions usually end up on the chopping block. One dress that has survived the test of wardrobe purge is my Fanplusfriend JSK, Ol' Faithful. As my oldest and most loved piece, I feel like it's the most versatile dress in my closet.

I love that I can add just about anything to this JSK and it'll still look good -- blouse, bolero, jacket, it doesn't matter, it suits the dress. I also love the cut of it, and feel that it's extremely flattering to my body type.
I just love my dress a lot, ok?! T_T

Head Dress (Beret)

My most versatile "headdress" is my black beret. I wear it a lot and out of all my headpieces, my berets fit my protective styles the most. It's easy to dress up, or dress down, and with a few extra accessories, you can take it from plain to #KawaiiAF in seconds.
I have a special place in my heart for hats in general, but I love my berets so much that I've started wearing them outside of Lolita!

I bought these wristcuffs nearly 2 years ago and they've become such an important part of my Lolita wardrobe that I almost feel weird when I don't wear them. They're just a simple addition to all my coords, and with the removable bows, I can pair them with anything.
Here are a few coords with my wristcuffs!
Usually, I wear my cuffs without the bows attached, but once I get more bow colors, I'll probably wear those more often too.
These three items are essentials in my wardrobe, but I never realized how often I wore them until I started looking at my closet for this blog prompt. What are your most versatile pieces in your Lolita wardrobe? Tell me all about it in the comment box below!
I've been writing some foundation reviews on Facebook that I think I'll start posting here so that others can find them. That'll also give my blog a bit more content to hold y'all all over between Taobao hauls and events. If there's anything you'd like me to write about, or questions you have for me, feel free to shoot me a message in the comment section or right here on Facebook!
Until next time, wonderful readers!
Stay beautiful, stay true,

I can see exactly how this is your most versatile dress! Tartan is such a versatile pattern and thanks to its usage through history, it really does work well both dressed up and casual.
